glaucoma
The eyeball contains a clear fluid that is maintained to a constant pressure. Glaucoma is a disease whereby the pressure in the eye is damaging
the optic nerve. It is common over the age of 40 years old and is one of the leading preventable causes of blindness.
As it is asymptomatic in its early stages, annual screening is recommended. Our clinic utilises the Goldman tonometer and Humphrey Field Analyser - the gold standard instruments in glaucoma diagnosis and monitoring.
